Great match once again with Gospel Oak finishing on top. However, no crisis here since there was something special about this match that makes it a turning point for the Golden Eagles.
Every time the Golden Eagles have played Gospel Oak they’ve started behind, this time was a different story. Lining up with Julian, Limbz (C), Jordan, Dan, Abz and Henrick, the Golden Eagles started well on top and were in front courtesy of a Henrick special. Gospel Oak hit back and soon after Abz made it 2-1. The team got their marking issues that have plagued in previous matches right and the contest was pretty tight getting to half time 2-2.
No bad start in the second half either for the Golden Eagles, Abz scored the 3-2 but Gospel Oak came back soon after with the 3-3. The new marking approach was paying dividends but was leaving a mark physically and that’s when mistakes happened and Gospel Oak got ahead 4-5. This result remained for most of the second half with the final goal coming right at the death.
Sometimes, when a team loses, you feel you have to change something. But in this case, the Golden Eagles have to continue doing the same and getting better as this match showed the way forward.
Final score: 4 – 6, Golden Eagles know what needs to be done!
